UniGas is the trade name used by Unified Gas, Inc., a company incorporated in Guyana. UniGas is developing a privately funded platform to transport, distribute and deliver natural gas and LPG to power, industrial, commercial and other customers in Guyana.

Guyana has significant domestic gas resources and growing energy demand, but many potential customers are not directly connected to gas infrastructure. UniGas is developing the final-mile systems, logistics and services needed to connect supply with demand safely and reliably.

No. UniGas is a separate, privately capitalized downstream distribution initiative. It may rely on gas becoming available through national infrastructure and may serve customers connected to Guyana's broader energy development, but it is not the Government's power plant project or the upstream producer of the gas.

A virtual pipeline transports compressed natural gas using specialized loading equipment, high-pressure transport modules or trailers, and controlled unloading and pressure-management systems. It can serve customers before permanent pipeline infrastructure reaches every location and can be deployed in phases.

Initial concepts focus on connecting available gas supply with priority power and industrial demand, including potential delivery routes from the Wales area. Final customers, routes and sites will be announced only when the relevant agreements, engineering and approvals support public disclosure.

No. The project remains in development, engineering, commercial engagement, private-capital formation and regulatory coordination. Construction will begin only after the necessary conditions for the applicable phase are satisfied.

UniGas does not intend to publish an unsupported start date. Timing depends on final engineering, private financing, equipment procurement, customer agreements, gas availability, sites, permits and the requested licence. No. The only government concession UniGas is requesting is an exclusive licence for the applicable gas distribution and transfer network. Normal regulatory actions, permits or separately documented commercial arrangements should not be confused with government capitalization of UniGas.

UniGas and its private capital providers bear the responsibility for financing the project and managing development, construction and operating risk, subject to the terms of any final commercial contracts. There is no public capitalization of UniGas.

UniGas expects to earn revenue by investing in infrastructure and providing contracted gas handling, transportation, distribution and related services. Revenue will depend on actual agreements and service performance; a licence alone does not guarantee profit or customer volume.

Government agencies will continue to perform their normal public responsibilities, which may include considering licences and permits, establishing or applying rules, protecting public safety and the environment, and overseeing matters within their legal authority.

UniGas is seeking an exclusive licence. Unless and until a final government instrument is executed, the licence must be described as requested or under discussion, not granted.

The project requires significant, long-term investment in integrated infrastructure, equipment, systems, training and safety capability. Private capital cannot responsibly fund a broad network if other participants can enter later and duplicate only the most profitable segments while leaving the original developer responsible for system-wide obligations.

Competition can benefit customers when common rules, infrastructure and oversight are mature. During the formation of a new downstream gas industry, uncoordinated entry could produce inconsistent safety practices, duplicated infrastructure, incompatible equipment, unclear accountability, opaque pricing and selective service. UniGas believes an integrated framework can establish consistent rules and a clear accountable operator.

Exclusivity without obligations would be a legitimate concern. UniGas supports clear licence conditions covering investment, service, safety, technical standards, reporting, pricing oversight, regulatory compliance and consequences for material non-performance. Exclusivity should organize investment and accountability, not remove oversight.

No. A licence would not provide public capital, customer contracts, guaranteed sales volumes or guaranteed investment recovery. UniGas would still need to raise private funding, build the required systems, secure customers and perform its obligations.

No. An exclusive licence would not replace or waive applicable permits, environmental requirements, safety rules, technical standards or regulatory oversight.

Licence duration and renewal terms remain subject to discussion and final government approval. UniGas believes the term must be long enough to support major infrastructure investment while including clear performance, compliance and termination provisions.

The protection should come from enforceable licence conditions and applicable law, including clear service standards, transparent pricing principles, metering and gas-quality rules, complaint procedures, reporting, audits or inspections where authorized, and consequences for non-compliance.

Final pricing will depend on the gas commodity price, the approved or contracted costs of handling and delivery, applicable capital-recovery or infrastructure charges, taxes and the relevant regulatory or commercial framework. UniGas will publish a plain-language pricing explanation when the applicable methodology is finalized for public release.

The final structure has not been publicly finalized. UniGas intends to distinguish the gas commodity component from infrastructure, transportation, handling and other approved or contracted charges so customers and the public can understand the components.

Not necessarily. Cost may vary based on volume, location, delivery method, pressure, load profile, contract term, equipment needs, credit and other service conditions. Any regulated customer class or tariff would be handled under the applicable framework.

Commercial contracts may contain confidential pricing, technical, security or customer information. UniGas will publish plain-language summaries or material public facts where appropriate and legally permitted, but it will not disclose protected customer information without authority.

A memorandum of understanding records the parties' intent to explore or advance a potential relationship. Unless the document states otherwise, it is not a final gas-supply contract, construction authorization, guaranteed revenue commitment or proof that all conditions have been satisfied.

The announcement and public summary should state the exact scope of the signed MoU. In general, an MoU with a potential industrial customer shows serious interest and identifies work toward a possible project, but final supply volumes, pricing, engineering, financing, approvals and binding obligations remain subject to definitive agreements unless the executed document expressly provides otherwise.

The public MoU summary will state whether any payment or binding financial commitment is part of the announced agreement. No payment or guaranteed revenue should be implied if the executed document does not provide it.

UniGas is privately capitalized and does not plan to publish commercially sensitive internal financial projections. It will explain how the business earns revenue, disclose whether public capital is involved, and support material public claims about customer savings with stated assumptions.

UniGas will publish job numbers only after the staffing plan and project phases are sufficiently defined. Early development estimates should not be presented as guaranteed permanent employment.

Potential roles span operations, technical and professional tracks, including drivers, dispatchers, field operators, mechanics, welders, electricians, instrument technicians, engineers, HSE staff, procurement, finance, project controls and management.

No. Participation in training, an internship, an apprenticeship or the Skills Pipeline does not guarantee employment. Confirmed positions will have their own eligibility and selection process.

Businesses can register through the Supplier Development Platform, describe their capabilities and follow posted opportunities. Registration does not guarantee a contract or invitation.

UniGas intends to source from qualified Guyanese suppliers wherever they can safely, reliably and competitively meet project requirements, consistent with applicable law and contractual obligations. Local participation does not remove critical safety, technical, legal or performance standards.

Yes, once meaningful activity begins, UniGas intends to publish aggregate workforce, training and supplier-participation information. Metrics will be defined carefully so they measure real employment, training and procurement outcomes.

CNG is used internationally, but it must be handled through properly engineered equipment, trained personnel, inspection, route planning, operating procedures and emergency-response systems. UniGas will not treat gas safety as a communications claim; it must be demonstrated through design, operations and compliance.

Emergency actions will depend on the incident and responsible authorities. Before operations begin, UniGas intends to publish public emergency guidance, a dedicated emergency contact and information on coordination with fire, police, medical and other relevant responders.

Requirements depend on the final sites, equipment and activities. UniGas will apply for applicable approvals and will identify material public approvals on the Project Facts page when they are issued and may legally be published.

Natural gas can reduce certain emissions when it displaces heavier fuels, but the result depends on equipment, efficiency, methane management, operating conditions and the comparison fuel. UniGas will label claims as modeled, estimated or measured and provide material assumptions.

Material claims should be supported by engineering or financial analysis and, where appropriate, independent review. Published claims will identify the calculation date, material assumptions and the fact that actual results may vary.

UniGas will correct material errors on the website and record the substance and date of the correction in the update log.
